All their eyes are staring…

[Girl starts to walk towards the street car. With each step she took closer to the car; he heard less and less of her heels knocking on the cold paved road. He quickly followed after her.]

Boy: You can’t say you really did love me.

Girl: I did love you…

[She said without turning back]

Boy: Then why are you leaving me?

Girl: I really did…but after a while it just seemed that lately, each and every day you’ve made me feel insignificant.

[She quickly glanced back at him as she tried to catch up to the train]

Girl: I started to love again…

[He grabbed her by her right arm just as she approached the stop, and she was forced to face him]

Boy: Who’d you fall in-love with? …Tell me!

[She looked up with gleaming eyes]

Girl: …myself…

Boy: What?!

Girl: …You kept me quiet and I let you. I let you drain every bit of my worth until I felt empty!

[His grip slowly loosened]

Girl: …until I began to love myself a little more than I loved you…

[She looked down and paused, then as she looked up at his tear-filled eyes she whispered in his ear]

Girl: …because I realized that I’m worth it too.

Boy: I don’t understand…

Girl: …I hope you will never get to the point where you will…

[And with that her lips gently brushed against his cheek for the last time. She stepped onto the waiting street car and he never saw her again]

Still, they are all staring without really understanding…but in the end, it hurts people less when they do not understand…so one can conclude that it is better off that way for everyone.
